PGA submits International Law arguments before the South African Parliament’s Justice Committee on the proposal of the Government to repeal the ICC Implementation Act of 2002

On 8 November 2016, Sen. Julio César Valentín, Chair of the PGA National Group in Dominican Republic, tabled a bill that created the necessary national mechanisms to cooperate efficiently with the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On 21 September 2016, Dip. Marisol Peñafiel, Chair of the PGA National Group of Ecuador, tabled a bill to amend the Criminal Code and include national mechanisms to enhance the cooperation with the ICC.

On 6 December 2016, Dip. Ronny Monge, PGA Board Member, tabled bill n°4573 which amends the Criminal Code of Costa Rica in order to implement the crimes included in the Rome Statute as well as the Kampala Amendments.

On December 8, the 7th Session of PGA’s Working Group on the Universality of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region was held in Dakar, Senegal.
