PGA is pleased to have been informed by Mr. Ivan Rosales, Chief of the International Affairs Unit and Parliamentary Diplomacy of the Parliament of El Savador that, on October 4, PGA Member, and Chair of the Salvadorean Chapter of PGA, Dip. Mario Tenorio submitted a letter to H.E. Mr. Hugo Martinez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, drawing the attention of the Government of El Salvador to the important regional leadership role of El Salvador as State Party of the Biological & Toxin Weapons Convention, and urging the government of El Salvador to comply with the Convention and submit the annual Confidence Building Measure Report.

El Salvador has ratified the BTWC on December 31st, 1991, but has yet to submit its first Confidence Building Measure Report.
