Today, 11 October 2020, marks the International Day of the Girl. 

The pandemic and lock-downs affect them the most. Leaders must make sure that their needs are at the center of all responses and recovery plans.

Leaders must make sure that the school gates don't close on them forever. They want to get back to school, even if they are married or pregnant or fallen behind.

Leaders must keep them safe by making sure they have access to services that will help them escape violence in their homes if they need to.
