Côte d’Ivoire - PGA Member Dep. Paul Dehe welcomes approval of Bill in National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire allowing for ratification of Arms Trade Treaty

Since 2001, PGA has been working in Côte d’Ivoire with a multiparty group, promoting the fight against impunity notably through the ratification and domestic implementation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

November 28, 2014 | Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire:

"I am very pleased that the National Assembly of Cote d'Ivoire has voted on November 26, 2014 to approve a bill to authorize the President of Côte d'Ivoire to ratify the Arms Trade Treaty.

"As a member of PGA who has worked closely with the PGA offices in New York and the Hague, I am confident that the government will now submit the ratification instrument before its entry into force on December 24 2014."
