PGA's International Peace and Security Program was pleased to learn earlier today that Cameroon has deposited its Instrument of Accession to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. Chair of PGA National Group in the National Assembly of Cameroon, Hon. Agho Oliver Bamenju, MP, Cameroon, was part of the official Cameroonian delegation along with Tsadia Celestine Roger, Diplomat, Ministry of External Relations and Jean-Yves Meo from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.
Hon. Agho stated:
I was very pleased to be part of the official Delegation of the Republic of Cameroon that deposited earlier today its Instrument of Accession to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. As a PGA Member, and since our Regional Workshop in Malawi in April 2023, I have also reached out on several occasions to, and met with, the Minister for Post and Telecommunications to encourage swift action.
