Why the MENA region?
While most Governments in the Middle East and North Africa have expressed support for the ICC, few have taken the necessary steps to ratify or accede to the Rome Statute. As of today, out of 123 States parties to the Rome Statute only Jordan in 2002, Tunisia in 2011 and Palestine in 2015 decided to join the ICC.
