Adoption of implementation legislation of the Rome Statute of the ICC |
Ireland has adopted full implementing legislation of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity via the International Criminal Court Act of 2006. However, Part 2(6) of the same act explicitly establishes that Art. 8(2)(b)(xx) of the Rome Statute, is not considered as a war crime. The Act of 2006, under Part 3, contain domestic provisions on cooperation with the ICC and include the general principles under the Rome Statute. |
