Burkina Faso and the Rome Statute
PGA has been mobilizing its Burkinabe members since 2016 and has provided them with technical assistance, including as to the ratification of all the amendments to the Rome Statute.

Burkina Faso has adopted a full implementing legislation, including cooperation provisions and all the general principles under the Rome Statute, via bill n°052-2009/AN of 3 December 2009. The provisions of this text were however not transposed into the country’s Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, which contain competing provisions. In 2020, PGA provided technical assistance to its members as to the unification of the various provisions. |
