I. Objectives
  1. To highlight progress made and remaining challenges regarding the implementation of PGA Programs:
    1. International Law and Human Rights
    2. Democracy, Gender and Inclusion
    3. International Peace and Security
    4. Human Rights and the Environment
  2. To discuss the role of parliamentarians in supporting and implementing the UN Agenda at the national level.
  3. To explore synergies between the UN and legislators worldwide.
II. Expected Outcomes
  1. Increased knowledge of the activities and goals of PGA in 2024and opportunities for cooperation with Member States and UN agencies.
  2. Improved understanding of the role parliamentarians can play when implementing the UN Agenda at the domestic level and how the UN can support theseendeavours.
  3. Increased engagement of the PGA UN Advisory Committee with the PGA Executive Committee of elected legislators from 15 UN Member States.
