PGA wishes to congratulate Cameroon on signing the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) at the United Nations in New York yesterday.
PGA also would like to take this opportunity to extend its appreciation to its Members in the National Assembly of Cameroon for their advocacy in support of the ATT.
PGA Secretary-General Dr. David Donat Cattin and Senior Program Officer Ms. Maia Trujillo visited Yaoundé on October 8, 2014 and met with the Speaker of Cameroon's National Assembly - Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril MP and several of his colleagues, encouraging further advocacy in support of joining the ATT.
PGA is also very pleased that Cameroon is participating in its 36th Annual Forum, currently ongoing in the Parliament of Morocco in Rabat.
PGA very much hopes that Cameroon - having taken this important step of signing the ATT - will soon be in a position to ratify this vital international convention and become a full State Party thereto.
