In cooperation with the PGA National Group of the Congress of Argentina, the Council of Europe Cybercrime Program, as well as the Organization of American States, PGA organized a Regional Parliamentary Webinar for Latin America and Caribbean to Promote Universality and Implementation of the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime on March 7th 2022.

Participants also included national experts from Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic and the United States of America.

Over 70 Members of Parliament and other interested individuals from across numerous countries in the region also participated in this event and exchanged questions and comments in connection with its subject matter.

It is anticipated that Vanuatu will deposit its Instrument of Accession to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime in the near future

 Malawi, Kenya and Papua New Guinea invited to accede to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime

With these new invitations, 76 States are now Parties, two have signed it and 18 have been invited to accede to the Convention.
