PGA's International Peace and Security Program congratulates the National Assembly of Seychelles on resolving unanimously yesterday to authorize the Government of Seychelles to accede to the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (ICSANT).

PGA wishes to acknowledge, in particular, the significant advocacy/outreach efforts of the Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly, Hon. Bernard Georges (PGA Executive Committee Member) in the past 18 months which contributed substantively and positively to this outcome.

PGA looks forward to the deposit of the Instrument of Ratification of Seychelles of the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (ICSANT) in the near future.

PGA is pleased to partner with UNODC and other partners in the implementation of its campaign to promote adherence to ICSANT. PGA is grateful to the Weapons Threat Reduction Program (WTRP) of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) for its funding support of this Campaign.
