Election of New Board Members at the 45th Annual Forum of Parliamentarians for Global Action

Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) held its 45th Annual Forum and 13th Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians on the International Criminal Court and the Rule of Law (CAP-ICC) in Islamabad on 28 and 29 October 2024, hosted by the National Assembly of Pakistan. The culmination of the forum was PGA’s annual International Council Meeting, where members reviewed the organization’s achievements and challenges over the past year, convened to elect new members to PGA’s Executive Committee, and discussed PGA’s new strategic plan for the coming years.

Members of Parliament from 14 different countries— Cameroon, Ecuador, Honduras, Jamaica, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, Suriname, The Gambia, Uganda, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom—participated in the International Council Meeting, chaired by Hon. Syed Naveed Qamar, MP (Pakistan), PGA President.

Following a presentation of candidates, the International Council elected eight members to the Executive Committee, who will commence their two-year term in January 2025. Seven MPs from Argentina, Austria, Belize, Canada, Mozambique, Pakistan and the Netherlands will continue as members of the Executive Committee in 2025.

PGA extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected and re-elected members of the 2025-2026 Executive Committee:
